The application was filed through the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority to a divisional bench headed by Chief Justice AS Oak and Justice Ashok Nijagannanavar on Thursday.
After reviewing the report, the bench directed the State’s Pollution Control Board to visit the spot, verify the status and submit a report to the court within a week.
The report had concluded that contaminated water from the solid waste filling plant is causing a human-made disaster and is endangering people’s lives.
