Asha workers complained this incident to gram panchayat, PDO and Bantwal police station. The Panchayat member Suresh Manikanta and Nawaz Basheer held discussions with the house residents and settled the matter. However, MLA Rajesh Naik said that the police department directed to take strict action against people harassing Asha workers

Apparantly, various cases of Asha workers being harassed have been registered across the Karnataka.
