Amid the coronavirus outbreak countries like Italy and China are under lockdown. In Italy, nearly 3,000 people have died due to the virus. As a result of which various precautionary measures have been taken. People are staying home, and tourism is at a bare minimum.

As a result, wildlife which usually kept away has returned to the Italian coast and Venice canal. As the ferries have been stopped in Italy’s coastline, dolphins have reappeared.

The canals in Venice which are usually dirty are running clear and now the fishes are more visible in the canal due to less traffic in the water.

This particularly good news to the Venetians, as they were not only attempting to combat the global pandemic, but the city also faced extreme flooding and high tides in 2019, which were partially caused by mass-market tourism.

Most people shared the photos on twitter and said the world is far more beautiful without human intervention. One user said, “Mother earth is healing” while another user said, “Seems like corona is the vaccine and we are the virus of nature.”

That is not it, air pollution levels around the world have been drastically dropped. Especially in China. Wuhan saw a massive fall in NO2 emissions, as it is in complete lockdown due to coronavirus.
