Covid-19: Maruti Suzuki to help make ventilators, masks, and other medical equipment

Maruti Suzuki India is all set to manufacture ventilators and masks to effectively combat coronavirus. Maruti Suzuki has announced that it will work with AgVa Healthcare Company to manufacture ventilators, masks and PPEs as requested by the Government of India.

The company has partnered with AgVa Healthcare, which manufactures ventilators. The company will work with AgVa Healthcare to rapidly scale up production of ventilators and the intention is to reach a volume of 10,000 units per month.

Maruti will also help AgVA find additional financing and obtain permissions and approvals to enable higher production. Maruti has decided to provide this assistance free of charge to AgVA Healthcare.

Maruti Suzuki has also formed a joint venture with Krishna Maruti Limited to manufacture three-ply masks which will be supplied to the Central government and Haryana government. The company has formed another joint venture Bharat Seats Limited  to manufacture personal protective equipment (PPE) for workers involved in the prevention and management of Coronavirus.
