Covid-19 patient reported as missing from hospital found dead in same hospital

Andhra Pradhesh: A 63-year-old man who was reported to be missing from a government hospital in Andhra Pradesh’s Vijayawada on June 24 was found dead on Friday in the same hospital

His wife took him to the hospital on June 24, when he complained of hiccups and asthmatic symptoms but later went missing and his family members staged a protest against the hospital management.

Sources claim, the hospital had admitted the patient without taking his details properly and sent his body to the mortuary when he died. Police finally identified the body in the mortuary.
