COVID-19: State Health Dept shares advisory for senior citizens

Bengaluru: With the number of positive cases increasing in the state day by day and as elder generation needs to be extra cautious due to their susceptibility in contracting the COVID-19, the Karnataka health department released a set of Advisory again on Wednesday, April 22.

Take a look at the list of do’s and dont’s:

DO’s

* Stay within the house

* Avoid having visitors at home

* Use handkerchief/ tissue paper while sneezing/ coughing

* Dispose the used handkerchief/ tissue and wash hands

* If the meeting is essential, maintain social distancing

* If living alone, take help of a healthy neighbor to secure home essentials

* Ensure proper nutrition home-cooked food

* Hydrate frequently with water/juice to boost immunity

* Avoid going to big and small gathering

* Remain actively mobile in the house

* Take your daily prescribed medicine regularly

* Wash hands before meal and after using washrooms

* Monitor your health. If any fever,cold cough immediately contact nearest health care facility

* Clean frequently touched objects like spectacles, mobile

DONT’S

* Do not come in contact with anyone with symptoms such as fever,
cold, cough, respiratory problems
* Do not Shake hands and hug friends/near ones

* Do not go to crowded place like parks, market and religious places

* Do not cough and sneeze in bare hands

* Do not touch your eyes, face and nose

* Do not self medicate

* Do not go to health check up, as far as possible have teleconsultation with your Doctor

* Do not invite friends/family members to home
