Amid rising Covid-19 cases, WHO has warned Britain government that it must re-impose a national lockdown across England

Boris Johnson has warned there are signs of a “second wave” of coronavirus in Europe. It is said that leading scientists advising UK government have proposed  a two-week lockdown to curb the spread of the virus.

As reported by The Telegraph, Britain Government tightened restrictions on meeting in groups the so-called ‘rule of six’ -after a surge in infections prompted concerns over a second wave of coronavirus.

Senior government sources said it would take two weeks to assess whether the rule of six had brought down infections. If it was found that it had failed to do so, further lockdown measures may be required.

Britain has been the worst-hit country in Europe by the pandemic, with the government registering nearly 42,000 deaths from Covid-19. Also, it is said that weekly cases have now exceeded the March numbers when Covid-19 was in a peak in Europe
