Cow skull found stuffed in a sack

Kundpaur: In the backdrop of increasing incidents of illegal transport and slaughter of cattle with each passing day, the head portion and pelt of a cow stuffed in a sack was found at Kalavinabagilu, Gangolli here on Thursday, July 18.

The particular sack was found by a fisherman going out for fishing in a boat on Thursday morning. The curious fishermen opened the sack only to find the skull and pelt of a cow inside.

By the looks of the found parts, it is assumed that the cow was slaughtered probably three days ago and it is suspected that the miscreants who slaughtered the animal must have stuffed the head in the sack and disposed it off into the river.

Gangolli police reached the spot after being informed of the find. They buried the parts in a pit after conducting the inquest.
