Chavanni, implicated in over two dozen criminal cases across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, met his end in a shootout with the Special Task Force and local police in Badlapur, according to Superintendent of Police Ajay Pal Sharma.
Upon receiving intelligence about Chavanni’s whereabouts, a joint task force attempted to capture him. However, Chavanni opened fire, prompting police to retaliate. He succumbed to a bullet injury and was declared dead at a nearby health center. Authorities recovered an AK-47 rifle and a pistol from the scene, with two of his associates managing to escape.
