Ravi has already written a letter to the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar and Prasad Bharati Chairperson insisting that radio programs be restarted on the Mumbai Aakashvani as per the demands of the Kannadigas there.
Kannada programs have been on the airwaves of Mumbai for the past seven decades with approximately 25 lakh people listening to them. However, the sudden ending of the programs has saddened many people, the minister noted.
He added that the Constitution allows people speaking a language to use their language in any part of the country they are residing, thereby being a catalyst for national integration.
