Dawn to dusk strike by doctors begins in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Doctors in Karnataka have decided to suspend services from 6 am to 6 pm on Friday after the Karnataka chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) called for a state-wide bandh to register its protest after the state Assembly introduced the bill to regulate activities of hospitals and clinics in Karnataka.

As per sources in the Indian Medical Association, emergency services in all hospitals and clinics would remain open while services of doctors and specialists would remain closed till evening.

A ‘Bengaluru Chalo’ rally has also been organized as part of the scheduled protests in the state capital today.
