Initially, the kid was suffering from high fever and hence, was admitted into a private hospital. He breathed his last on Tuesday afternoon. The public is claiming that dengue had claimed the child’s life while the district health department officials have denied this fact.
District malaria control officer Dr Navin Kumar explained that the death of the young boy occurred due to infection in the muscles of the heart and not due to dengue.
The doctor further informed that more than 100 people have been admitted to private and government hospitals in the district for suspected dengue fever and all are recovering therefore, there is no need to panic.
