The deceased identified as Joseph Mathias was employed at a hotel in Manipal. His body was found from the cowshed of his house on Saturday morning.
As per the statement given by his wife Renita Olivera Lewis to the Kaup police, Joseph might have resorted to the extreme step out of depression. It is gathered that he was worried about his sons unemployment.
A case has been registered at Kaup police station.
