Detection of missing fishermen: DVS assures assistance from defence

Katpady: Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon met union minister D V Sadananda Gowda in Delhi and impressed upon him the situation of detecting the missing fishermen and requested him to discuss the issue with the home ministry and take immediate action.

Lalaji informed Udayavani that the minister had assured to hold consultation union minister Rajnath Singh on Jan 3^rd and discuss the possibility of using the assistance of military in the detection of the missing fishermen.

Already, searched have been conducted through helicopter. The assistance of the government of Maharashtra has been requested, he informed.
