'Digital Strike': Min Ravi Shankar Prasad on move to block Chinese mobile apps

New Delhi: Terming the Centre’s move to ban 59 Chinese mobile apps as a ‘digital strike’, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Thursday said that the move has been taken to protect data of countrymen.

Speaking at a BJP rally in West Bengal, the union minister questioned why CPI-M was not criticising China over Sino-India standoff.

Prasad further said that the Indian troops is capable of giving a befitting reply to those who who cast an evil eye on our territory.

“The death toll on Chinese side is on the higher side. They have still not come out with any figure,” the Law, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Minister said.
