Holding a meeting with officials at the DC office on Saturday morning, Minister Gundurao stressed the need for readiness to tackle any potential water scarcity issues. Currently, Dakshina Kannada district does not face any drinking water shortages.
However, Minister Gundurao underscored the importance of making necessary arrangements to address any future challenges. He assured that precautionary measures have already been initiated in the district to mitigate potential water supply disruptions.
Emphasizing the priority given to drinking water supply, Minister Gundurao highlighted the importance of utilizing various water sources, including Netravati River’s AMR dam if necessary. He called for cooperation from major industries in the district, such as M.R.P.L. and SEZ, to ensure adequate water availability.
