The MLAs who attended the review meeting presided by Kumaraswamy alleged that they were asked to park their vehicles outside the Zilla Panchayat premises while vehicles of Zilla Panchayat officials, Congress and JD(S) supporters were seen parked inside.

MLAs Rajesh Naik and Vedavyas Kamath brought the issue to the notice of the CM after the press meet was over. Consoling them, Kumaraswamy said that the police may have done so for security reasons. He, however, assured them that such incidents would not repeat in the future.

Speaking to media persons MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor, who is also the BJP President of Dakshina Kannada said that the police did not heed to their request of allowing their vehicles inside and that they were even asked to park the vehicles far away from the area. “This is an insult to the MLAs,” said  Matandoor and demanded disciplinary action against the concerned police officers
