Dist Congress protests against BJP's 'resort politics'

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District Congress staged a protest against the resort politics of BJP in front of the Congress Bhavan at Mallikatte on Thursday, January 17.

Speaking on the occasion, former minister B Ramanath Rai alleged that the BJP was attempting to destabilize the state government by poaching its leaders. Taking a jibe at the saffron party he termed that it stands for ‘Bharatiya Joot Party’. “BJP has not been able to digest its defeat and hence is resorting to Operation Lotus,” he said.

District Congress president Harish Kumar said that though BJP has been giving deadlines to topple the government they have been unable to do so. 

Further he slammed the BJP for spending nearly Rs 4.5 crore on a daily basis for the stay of its MLAs at a Grurugram resort since last 10 days at a time when the state was facing drought.
  
D.K Youth Congress President Mithun Rai, corporators Purushottam Chitrapura, Naveen D’Souza, Sabita Miskit, Asha D’Silva and others were present.
