Udupi districts as against Saturday evening’s figures of 77.63 % and 78 %, respectively.

DK and Udupi beat the voter turnout from the 2013 Assembly elections as well as the 2014 Lok Sabhaelections. 77.18 % voters had exercised their franchise in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls in Dakshina Kannada,

76.13 % voters cast their votes in Udupi district.

Belthangady constituency in Dakshina Kannada has witnessed the maximum increase in voter turnout.

The constituency witnessed 75.48 % voters exercising their right in the 2013 Assembly polls. 76.75 % voters turned out for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. However, 81.5 % voters came out to exercise their franchise for the 2018 Assembly polls held on Saturday. This marks an increase of 6 % over the 2013 Assembly election.

Similarly, Kaup in Udupi district witnessed the highest increase in voter turnout when compared to 2013 Assembly and 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Saturday’s polls for the 2018 Assembly elections witnessed 78.51 % turnout as against 73.29 % in 2013 and 76.58 % in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
