Apart from Shivkumar, three other co-accused – Sunil Sharma, Anjaneya and Rajendra were also granted relief. The court, while granting the bail, directed all the accused to furnish a bond of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 25,000 surety each.
The Income tax department had filed a criminal case against the Congress strongman and his aides following the seizure of unaccounted cash during the raids conducted at properties owned by Shivkumar and his aides in New Delhi last year.
The I-T Department, in its complaint, alleged that Shivakumar, along with the other accused, had engaged in transporting huge amounts of unaccounted for cash on a regular basis through hawala channels.
