The women in unauthorised colonies should not be charged for the registration of property and given ownership rights, Tiwari said. When asked about the BJP leader’s demand, Kejriwal said, “We will look into it.”
Tiwari alleged that the Delhi government did not send the proposal for regularisation of 1,757 unauthorised colonies to the central government and Kejriwal did not work for the demarcation of the boundaries of these colonies.
Hitting out at Kejriwal for allegedly trying to take credit of regularisation of the unauthorised colonies by the Centre, Tiwari said Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has continuously been writing to the Delhi government over the matter. The Delhi BJP chief also accused Kejriwal of trying to save “anti-national elements” by not giving sanction for prosecution in the JNU sedition case.
“The supporter of ‘tukde-tukde gang’ has not given permission to prosecute the accused in the JNU sedition case. If Kejriwal does not give permission to prosecute the anti-national elements, people of Delhi will not forgive him,” Tiwari said at a press conference.

On January 14, police had filed a charge sheet in the court against Kumar and others, including former JNU students Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya, saying they were leading a procession and supported seditious slogans raised in the JNU campus during an event on February 9, 2016.
Tiwari said while Kejriwal had not been able to increase the number of buses in Delhi in almost five years of his tenure, he had announced introduction of 25 new cluster buses ahead of the assembly elections.
“Even after 54 months, Kejriwal has not been able to increase the number of buses. However, in view of the forthcoming elections he has announced introduction of 25 new buses under cluster bus service and is misleading the people of Delhi. These 25 private buses are like few drops in the ocean,” he said.
Delhi requires services of 20,000 buses everyday but only 3,500 buses are plying in the city and most of them are in bad shape, he claimed. Kejriwal had promised to introduce electric buses for curbing pollution in Delhi, but none of these happened, he added.
BJP leader Vijay Goel said he will be holding a dharna against “Kejriwal’s betrayal on unauthorised colonies” on Thursday at Jantar Mantar. “The Delhi CM is misleading people on regularisation of colonies. The Kejriwal government is the biggest obstacle in regularisation,” he said. Goel will be joined by BJP MPs Ramesh Bidhuri, Parvesh Verma and Hans Raj Hans in the protest.
