Uninterrupted rains from Saturday morning created a flood-like situation in many rural areas in the Udupi and Dakshina Kannada district.

Except for agricultural activities, all other industries saw disruption in work due to power cuts.

This was because 107 electric wire poles, 23 transformers and many power cables were toppled in due to sustained winds on Saturday.
