Painted pink, staff who work these exceptional voting locations including presiding officers, polling officers, micro observers and security personnel, will be women.

These all ladies election booths are set up with a goal to encourage women and expanding their interest in the election procedure. This time around 24 corners among the total 2860 booths in the district are delineated as Pink Booths. Chamaraja and Krishna Raja Constituency will have three pink election booths each, while rest of the constituencies will have two pink voting booths each.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Yogesh said, “Over the region we have set up 24 pink surveying stations. This surveying station will be painted in pink shading and will likewise have pink equipments. We have set up these booths wherever there are more ladies voters. The expectation behind the pink voting booths is to draw in more ladies voters to partake in elections.”
