It is a low-flying, day-biting mosquito. Hostels, work places, schools are more conducive for dengue mosquitoes to breed,” informed the DC.
“People should understand about this disease. We should not allow fresh water to accumulate in terrace, pots and in the surroundings of our houses which gives scope for the mosquitoes to breed. We should take immediate steps to hunt larvae,” he urged the gathering.
“Direct the parents to send their children with their bodies fully covered or apply neem oil. Dengue is very much avoidable as we have reached to critical mass level and we need to control dengue by hunting these larvae,” advised Mr Senthil.
