Employee receives 286 times more salary, goes missing

Chile: An employee working in a private firm, drawing a decent salary had a shock of his life, as he received a whopping salary of Rs 1.42 cr (165,398,851 Chilean pesos) in place of Rs 45000 (500,000 pesos).

As per the media reports, the employee is said to be working at a company named Consorcio Industrial de Alimentos (ClAL). It is Chile’s largest producer of cold cuts.

Reports suggest that the company’s management had accidentally credited 286 times more money than his monthly salary. Later, when the company checked the records and found that a blunder was committed from their end, they tried reaching the employee. At first, he was out of reach, and later when he came in contact, he promised to return the amount.

Astonishingly, the employee tendered his resignation on June 2 and reportedly went missing.

Currently, the company has taken legal action against the employee.
