18 hospitalized after eating poisonous seed

Mandya: As many as 18 people including 14 children were hospitalised after they reportedly ate poisonous seeds that grew on a plant on fence on Sunday at Doddegowdanakoppalu in Srirangapatna of Mandya District on Sunday.

The victims are Chiranth (14), Diganth (9), Shreya (6), Tarun (10), Vasharm (11), Ajith (10), Roza (11), Sharun (5), Janith (9), Darshan (16), Chethan (16), Yashwanth (12), Shiva (36), Mariyayya (70), Venkatesh (65) Gauramma (38), Sinchana (16), Marinangayya (55).

After the victims accidentally consumed poisonous seeds they were immediately rushed to the hospital and undergoing treatment.

Following the incident, Srirangapatna Rural Police Station have registered a case in this regard.
