Ullal: A body of a boy named Ashwith (19), who had drowned in the River Nethravathi at Talemogaru of Sajipapadu panchayat limits on Sunday, was recovered from the seashore at Kotepura Kodi of Ullal, on Wednesday.
According to the reports, Ashwith had come to Sajipapadu to attend a cradling ceremony at Nagesh Ganiga’s residence. He is said to have gone towards the Nethravati river, with his friends to play in the waters. At this point in time, Ashwith and one of his friends named Harsha began drowning.
Meanwhile, Harsha was rescued by his friends, but Ashwith had already drowned. With rescue operations on over the past two days, Ashwith’s body was recovered from seashores on Wednesday.
