‘2-dose vaccination must to use public transport’: BBMP to replicate Mumbai model

Taking cue from Maharashtra government, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is likely to issue guidelines allowing access of public transport, including buses and metro in the city for only fully vaccinated citizens.

As per the present guidelines two doses of vaccines have been made compulsory at public places and the same rule will be extended for those travelling in auto, taxis, buses and metros

The proposal has already been sent to the government and relevant authorities for approval.

Dr Trilokchandra, Special Commissioner for Health informed that is already being implemented in Mumbai. “We want to replicate it in BBMP limits,” he said.
