23 karat gold biryani priced at Rs 20,000

Pictures of a restaurant in Dubai selling 23 karats of edible gold biryani have stormed the internet in awe.

Gold biryani priced at 1000 Dirhams (INR 19,694), is reportedly Dubai’s most expensive biryani. Bombay Borough in Dubai is the restaurant that serves this.

The platter is served on a gold plate and comes with three different rice options, namely, Biryani rice, keema rice, and white and saffron rice, accompanied by baby potatoes, boiled eggs, mint, roasted cashew, pomegranate, and fried onion and is complemented by a variety of sauces, curries, and raitas.

The plate is topped with a variety of grilled meat, decorated in an edible gold leaf.
