Priority will be given to quality during the installation of the new CC camera. The cameras being installed will have a capacity of capturing videos in 1920×1020 format. Latest CC cameras ae being installed which also have the capacity to capture clear footage of a people walking and vehicular movement even during the night. The cameras have the capacity to capture images in light density of more than 0.01. The camera has a focal length of 3.6mm and can cover an area of over 50 yards.
Last week, around 210 additional CC cameras were installed at commercial complexes and public places in the city through the special campaign conducted by the city police under the Karnataka Public Safety (Measures) Enforcement Act, 2017.
More than 100 CC cameras were already functioning at various circles and road sides in the city including important junctions like PVS, Bunts Hostel, Jyothi Circle, Hampankatte, Clock Tower Circle, State Bank, Pumpwell, Mallikatte, Kankanady, Lalbhag, Bejai, Kadri, Nanthoor, Hamilton and other places. Besides, there are more than a 1,000 CC cameras already functioning at public places throughout the city.

1,830 cameras in the city
Currently, altogether 1,830 CC cameras have been installed around the city as a security measure encompassing apartments, multi-storied buildings, commercial buildings and many prominent junctions. Recently, 210 additional cameras were installed at public places in the city. The number of CC cameras will further increase in the coming days.
Priority for good quality CC cameras
