6th pay commission recommends holiday on fourth Saturday to the employees

Bengaluru: The sixth pay commission has suggested that the state government announce the fourth Saturday as a holiday alongside the second Saturday for the government employees.

The commission shaped under the initiative of former IAS officer M R Srinivas Murthy for recommendations regarding the pay revision and administrative , presented its last answer to the legislature on Monday, April 30. The report has specified about the fourth Saturday occasion, sources said. 

The members from the commission have presented this 500-page answer to the Chief Secretary K. Rathnaprabha. The government has implemented the first report already. After the payment revision, to pay the fitment (amount to maintain the balance) to the employees, it was a loss for the senior employees. The report suggested that the government that increment of three years for these employees may be added to the basic payment. It is left to the sense of the government, it said.
