Aatma Nirbhar Bharat: Rs 5000 cr special credit facility for street vendors

New Delhi: The government will extend Rs 5000 cr special credit facility to street vendors who have been severely hit by the covid-19 induced lockdown.

Pointing out that these vendors have been deprived of their livelihood in the last two months, the finance minister said that the special credit facility will be extended to them.

An initial working capital of up to Rs 10,000 will be given to them via vendor scheme. As estimated 50 lakh street vendors will benefit from the scheme.
