‘Abhay 2’ makers trolled for misusing freedom fighter Khudiram Bose’s image

Kunal Khemu-starrer Abhay 2, a webseries on OTT platform ZEE5, has allegedly portrayed freedom fighter Khudiram Bose as a “criminal” in one of its scenes which stoked a massive controversy

It began when some viewers spotted Bose’s image on a police station criminal board in the scene in an episode titled “One-legged Skeleton”

Netizens were quick to react and pointed out how disrespectful it feels after seeing such a legendary freedom fighter being shown as a petty criminal.

However, Zee5 issued and apology and said, “The producers, show & the platform, have no intent whatsoever to offend any community or hurt anybody’s sentiments. Keeping in mind the feedback received and with utmost respect to our audience,  we have blurred the image (inadvertently) used in one of the scenes of Abhay2.”
