Adoptios Camps:
On April 27, a camp will be organised at ‘Anirvedha’, Resource Centre for Psychological Wellbeing, behind Sulthan Gold, Kankanady Bypass Road, Mangaluru in association with Anirvedha and Wag-Ville, Bengaluru.
On April 27 an workshop on Animal Assisted Therapy will also be conducted. Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) includes animals in their intervention to bring about the therapeutic change especially for children with special needs. AAT has shown improved overall emotional wellbeing, better stress coping, enhanced self-worth and socialization skills in special needs children and other clinical population.

On April 28 over 40 puppies to be put up for adoption at Kolya
The adoption camp on April 28 will be held at Shree Mookambika Industries, opposite Shree Mookambika Temple, Kolya, NH 66.
Over 40 puppies and 10 kittens will be put up for adoption at the camp which will be held between 10.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m. Animal Care Trust is organising the camp in association with Rotary Club- Mangalore East, Rotary Samudaya Dala, Kolya, Someshwar and Yuvavahini (R), Kolya Division.
While no adoption fee is charged, ACT only collects a nominal registration fee of Rs 200 that helps in covering the basic medical expenses incurred. Potential adopters are requested to bring a valid Photo ID for registration. After the adoption process is complete, ACT will keep in touch with the family for regular updates about vaccination and sterilization.
“Being Indians we should adopt Indian breeds. Let us give them forever homes of loving families. Let us make them feel wanted,” says Suma R Nayak, Trustee of ACT.
