Darshan, who was earlier lodged in Ballari Jail in connection with the Renukaswamya murder case, was granted interim bail on medical grounds by the Karnataka High Court due to his back pain. Following this, he was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Though doctors recommended surgery, it was repeatedly postponed due to certain undisclosed health complications. Now, Darshan has been discharged without undergoing surgery.
On Monday (Dec 16), the Karnataka High Court granted him bail. Subsequently, Darshan was discharged from BGS Hospital, Kengeri, and returned home.

According to sources, Darshan has opted for physiotherapy as an alternative to surgery and will continue his treatment.
