Bengaluru: The 15-day permission given by the court for actor Darshan Thoogudeepa to visit Mysuru ended on Sunday (January 5). The actor, who is an accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, is expected to appear in Bengaluru on Monday to request an extension of the permission.

Darshan had earlier sought permission from the Bengaluru 57th CCH court citing reasons such as caring for his ailing mother, attending to farm animals at his farmhouse, and consulting doctors in Mysuru for back pain treatment. The court had permitted him to stay in Mysuru for 15 days, which concluded on Sunday night.

Darshan has reportedly discussed with his legal team the possibility of applying for an extension. He is likely to file a request on Monday, seeking additional weeks to stay in Mysuru. Currently, he is undergoing physiotherapy for his back pain and may seek further time to address his health issues.

The court had earlier instructed Darshan not to leave Bengaluru until the Renukaswamy murder case trial concluded. If the court denies the extension, Darshan will have to return to Bengaluru.

Darshan is also considering surgery for his back and leg pain, which has reportedly worsened. Doctors have advised that only surgery can provide permanent relief. He is expected to undergo the procedure after Sankranti, likely around January 14.
