Ageing bull goes on rampage, sends woman somersaulting

Ballari: An ageing bull went berserk on Friday and attacked several people including bike riders in Kottur here. 

The rampaging bull even sent a woman somersaulting in the air before a veterinary doctor finally managed to tranquilise it.

It is gathered that the bull had been donated by a devotee as part of their vow to Kottureshwara Temple here. Several such bovines that have been donated to the temple roam the streets of Kottur in the absence of a dedicated Goushala to shelter them.

In Friday’s instance too the bull created a chaos by chasing people and motorcycle riders until someone intimated the police, Kottur Temple management and veterinary doctor Dr Raviprakash Kittur.

Meanwhile, residents have urged the temple management to expedite the construction of Goshala on Itigi Road and shift the animals to the shelter home.
