Taking to Twitter Santhosh made the accusation and wrote, “It was during ToolKit fame Siddaramaiah that Amul Coop expanded its footprints. Now he and his party are creating unrest by talking against it. Kannadigas will answer royally to them on May 10.”

He also posted some of the proceedings of Amul’s 43rd Annual General Meeting held in June 2017 to back up his claim.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has condemned the “low-level politics” of spreading fake news and creating confusion. He highlighted the significant increase in Nandini’s brand value and production, stating that the milk is in high demand nationally and internationally, available in all states, and even exported to foreign countries.

The Amul and Nandini conflict has led to protests and strikes by dairy farmers associated with Nandini, who are demanding that the KMF take action against Amul. The KMF has stated that they will take legal action against Amul if they continue to poach their farmers.

The controversy between the two dairy brands has been ongoing for a while, with each side accusing the other of spreading fake news and misinformation. It remains to be seen how the controversy will be resolved and whether Nandini or Amul will come out on top.
