Ankola: The COVID-19 infection is spreading day by day in Ankola Taluk, however, people are busy shopping essentials in markets without face masks and forgetting social distancing norms.
In the city, people are trading in the market as usual without acknowledging COVID-19 spread.
The COVID-19 cases were less in the taluk until last week. However, in the last four days, there is a rise in numbers.
Due to the lockdown imposed in Bengaluru, many people have traveled to their taluk, however, only a few people informed the health officials about their travel history.
People wear face masks and maintain social distancing only when the police personals or health officials are around.
This negligence by people might invite an increase in COVID-19 cases in the Taluk.
