Snehamayi Krishna from Mysuru submitted a seven-page letter to Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot on August 2, requesting an investigation and directing the Mysuru Deputy Commissioner to submit a report within 15 days.
The complaint demands filing a case against CM Siddaramaiah and the involved officials and taking appropriate action to ensure justice for the affected beneficiaries. It also warns of legal action if the Deputy Commissioner fails to act. This accusation adds to the ongoing MUDA scandal and other controversies surrounding the CM.
The controversy involves 7.01 acres of land in Varuna Hobli, S. Uttanahalli village, Mysuru district, which was acquired on November 24, 1979, under a housing scheme. Although some beneficiaries received title deeds, they could not build houses due to a lack of infrastructure.

It is further alleged that Siddaramaiah pressured the then Mysuru Deputy Commissioner to de-notify 1.39 acres in Survey Number 205/2 which Marappa falsely claimed as his own in a letter dated August 10, 2008. The officials complied, allegedly due to Siddaramaiah’s misuse of power. The complaint attached records in support of these allegations.
Political Reactions
Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda accused the BJP of conspiring to topple the democratically elected government and misusing the Raj Bhavan. Speaking at a public rally, he claimed the BJP is targeting Siddaramaiah in the MUDA case without any substantial evidence.
Complainant Meets Governor
T.J. Abraham, the complainant in the MUDA case, met with the Governor on Tuesday for over an hour. He clarified his stance and requested a review of his complaint, expressing confidence that the Governor would grant permission for prosecution against the CM.
