Aranthodu: Major accident averted after runaway truck incident in Aletti

Aranthodu: In a freak mishap, a truck loaded with rubber moved forward on its own and rolled down an embankment near a rubber warehouse on Aletti Road on Friday.

The incident occurred as the driver was covering the load with tarpaulin.

Fortunately, no vehicles or pedestrians were on the road at the time, preventing a serious accident.

Witnesses said the truck driver immediately jumped from the vehicle upon realizing the danger. Had the truck continued further, it could have crashed into nearby houses, leading to a disaster.
