Army chopper crashes in Bhutan, both pilots killed

New Delhi: A Cheetah helicopter of the Indian Army crashed in eastern Bhutan Friday afternoon in which both the pilots were killed, official sources said. The wreckage of the helicopter has been found, they said, adding the crash took place around 1 pm “In an unfortunate incident, an Indian Army helicopter has crashed at 1 pm near Yonphulla in Bhutan. The single engine Cheetah helicopter was piloted by one Indian and one Royal Bhutan Army pilots. There are no survivors,” Indian Army spokesperson Col Aman Anand said in a brief statement. A high-level inquiry has been ordered, the sources said.
