Asha workers stage dharna, push for minimum wages and rights

Asha workers took to the streets in the city on Wednesday, January 17, staging a protest to press for the fulfillment of various demands, including the establishment of minimum wages.

Following a protest march through the city, the workers gathered for a dharna (sit-in protest) in front of the Mini Vidhana Soudha.

The protest was led by the Karnataka State United Asha Workers Association. State committee member Umadevi, district in-charge Harini, district president Shobha Naik, city president Gayatri Shetty, and others were present.

The workers voiced their demands, highlighting the need for fair compensation, including minimum wages.
