Bajaj launches new CT110 motorcycle in India

Bajaj Auto has expanded its product portfolio in the commuter segment by introducing a new motorcycle in India, christened as the CT110. The new CT110 is nothing but the 110cc version of the Bajaj CT100 bike model. It is positioned above the CT100 and below the Platina 100.

The CT110 is available in two variants viz., the kick start and the electric start at an ex-showroom, Delhi price tag of Rs.37,997 and Rs.44,352 respectively. The kick start version of the CT110 is around Rs.4,700 costlier than the CT100 Kick-start model while the electric start version costs around Rs.3,200 more than the equivalent CT100 model. Bajaj offers three colour options for the CT110 which includes Matte olive green, Gloss ebony black and Gloss flame red.

The engine powering the new Bajaj CT110 is the same 115cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, DTS-i unit that powers the Platina 110. It produces 8.6bhp power at 7,000rpm and 9.81Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. Power to the wheels get transmitted via an all-down gearshift type 4-speed gearbox. The bike gets equipped with Anti-Skid drum brakes at both ends while the suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear.

The overall design looks almost identical to the CT100 except the blacked-out treatment seen on the engine, gearbox, suspension, handlebar, grab rail and the alloy wheels. The bike gets a fresh appeal with a new set of decals. In terms of features, the CT110 gets several unique updates when compared with the CT100 that include a new rubber tank-pad, new graphics, braced handlebar, fork gaiters, colour coded rim tapes and larger rear-view mirrors.

The bike sports a larger seat with more cushioning to offer comfort to the riders. For safety purpose, it gets equipped with larger crash guards, rubber covers for the rear-view mirror stalks, an upswept exhaust and “semi-knobby” tyres that enable a firm and stable grip on the toughest of roads.

Bajaj CT110 is likely to compete against its rivals the Hero HF Deluxe and TVS Sport.
