Ballari: One dead, several injured in boiler explosion at biscuit factory

Ballari: A worker was killed and several others were injured in a boiler explosion at a biscuit manufacturing factory in the Guggarhatti area of the city on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Salim.

The condition of another worker is said to be critical, while 5 sustained serious injuries in the incident.

The injured have been admitted to Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) Hospital in the city for medical treatment. The exact cause of the boiler explosion is under investigation. Ballari Rural Police visited the spot for investigations.
