The devotees sang kirtans of Lord Krishna in the protest and were seen holding that said ‘Protect our temples in Bangladesh’ and ‘Stop violence against Hindus’.

Karunyasagar Dasa, President, ISKCON Mangaluru, said, “We are deeply saddened by the unprovoked attacks on the ISKCON devotees, Hindus, and other minorities in Bangladesh. Several people including Prantha Chandra Das and Jatan Chandra Saha of ISKCON in Noakhali have been killed in the attacks. The attacks on Hindus and other minorities have been going on for decades.”

” We have requested our government as well as the United Nations to ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh. To condemn the incident, ISKCON has organized Global Kirtan Protest which is a worldwide peaceful demonstration of pain and grief of the global Hindu community, which stands in solidarity with the Hindus of Bangladesh. It is not against any religious community or the state of Bangladesh,” he added.

An ISKCON temple in Noakhali district of Bangladesh was vandalised and a devotee killed by a mob of fundamentalists.
