Bantwal: 20-year-old killed in road mishap

Bantwal: A 20-year-old youth was killed in a tragic accident that took place on Friday, December 30 late night near BC Road Circle.

The deceased has been identified as Rameez, a resident of Bengre.

The accident took place when the victim and his friend were on the way to attend Ajilamogar mosque Uroos. The bike rider tried to overtake and as a result, the bike skidded throwing the co-rider onto the road. Meanwhile, the lorry ran over him, resulting in his death.

Following the incident, the lorry driver fled the scene, but the police later located and recovered the vehicle. The victims, Ajilamogar and a friend were en route to the Uroos event at the mosque when the accident happened.

Bantwal traffic police, responding to the incident, visited the scene and registered a case.
