Bantwal: Man arrested for sexual assault on girl during school event

Bantwal Rural Police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a girl during the annual day celebration of Navoor Government School.

The accused has been identified as Jayant, a resident of Navoor.

On December 14, the victim had attended the school’s annual event with her family when the accused reportedly forcibly dragged her away and committed the crime.

Following a complaint by the victim, Bantwal Rural Police registered a case and arrested the accused. He was presented in court and has been remanded to judicial custody.
