The sellers reportedly visit government schools, where they take orders from students, quoting prices for the unique-shaped pencils. After a couple of days, the ordered pencils are delivered to the students. Despite the attractive appearance of these pencils, priced at Rs 20, parents express worries about the safety implications, particularly the potential for injury due to the axe-shaped end.

Parents emphasize that such pencils not only pose physical risks but may also have a negative impact on the children’s minds. They call for strict measures to prevent the sale of such items in schools.

The parents express frustration with the lack of action by teachers against the sellers of these controversial pencils. It is alleged that the same suppliers have visited multiple schools in the taluk, selling similar items.
