Mokshit Naik, son of Lingappa Naik and Asha from Kedila village, now rides this electric cycle to his school, located 2 km away.

Using a budget of Rs 9,000, Mokshit purchased components like a motor, battery, accelerator, brakes, and a power bank online after learning the process through YouTube.

He assembled the parts in just two days. The cycle, which charges in 1–2 hours, has been running without issues for the past four weeks.

“He studies any new object he comes across. Initially, we used to discourage him from handling electrical devices, but now he repairs even the electric components of my vehicles. With his own interest and knowledge, he has built this electric cycle” said Lingappa Naik Guddkodi, Mokshit’s father.

“We are proud of Mokshit’s achievement. We realized his passion for electronics a bit late, but we plan to provide him special encouragement. He will be guided to prepare an individual or group project in the science category for upcoming competitions” said Geethakumari, a mathematics teacher at Kadeshwalya Government High School.
